Your next goal

Where to go next.

You don't need to rush every system at once. Get established, find a build you enjoy and use the next challenge to decide what to improve.

01 / Settle in

Build a starting point.

Sort out food, storage and a safe base, then explore nearby structures. Keep gems, spell scrolls, gear with extra bonuses and unfamiliar crafting materials. Spare equipment can become upgrade materials later.

Building and machinery can grow alongside your adventures. You don't have to finish the combat path before making a useful home.

02 / Find your build

Try weapons, spells and skills.

Experiment with a few weapon types before committing to one. Compare the actual bonuses on equipment, not just its material, Gear Points or Crown price.

For magic, start with a Copper Spell Book and an Inscription Table. A Scroll Forge gives you a route to making more scrolls. Check recipes before spending rare materials on the next upgrade.

03 / Improve your equipment

Start with affix gear.

Affixed equipment has extra stat bonuses. Equip Common-or-better pieces in all five progression positions: helmet, chest, legs, feet and hand. That unlocks Frontier.

To get your first gem dust, crush unwanted gems with a falling anvil or use the installed Create pressing recipe. Then build a Salvaging Table for spare affix gear and a Simple Reforging Table to improve compatible equipment. Save useful gems and good pieces before salvaging.

04 / Take on more

Work through the world tiers.

  • Frontier: Common-or-better affix gear in all five positions.
  • Ascent: Uncommon-or-better in those positions, plus an Apotheosis invader kill.
  • Summit: Rare-or-better gear, plus a Wither kill.
  • Pinnacle: Epic-or-better gear, plus an Ender Dragon kill.

Natural invaders start at Frontier, so don't wait for one while you're still on Haven. A named or high-level enemy isn't necessarily an Apotheosis invader.

Deeper caves, distant terrain and other dimensions bring different challenges. Tougher eligible wild mobs can give better bonus rewards, with mob type, dimension and your active tier affecting the result. Bonuses aren't guaranteed, and farming easy or spawned mobs isn't a shortcut to boss materials.

05 / Open the End

Collect 12 different eyes.

You need 12 distinct End Remastered eyes—not all 16. Mix exploration, mob drops, crafting and trading instead of spending all your time chasing one rare eye.

Look in buried treasure, igloo basements, mineshafts, outposts, temples and Nether fortresses. Elder Guardians and a master cleric offer other routes. Keep your last copy of each eye safe: thrown eyes can break.

06 / Prepare for the big fights

Refine the build you enjoy.

Improve your spells and strengthen your equipment with enchantments, gems and affixes. Expand your enchanting setup and work toward better reforging as you gather the materials.

Take on dimension bosses for their own unique drops. Those materials still belong to their encounters; a high-level ordinary enemy won't replace them. Use the recipe browser to plan the next station or upgrade.
